The Sorrento coast is one of the most beautiful coasts in Italy. Completely covered by olive trees, lemon trees and walnuts, the coast is renewned all over the world for its natural products.
The city of Sorrento and its surroundings are very well known for vineyards, hazelnuts, chestnuts and walnuts which are used to make the famous "Nocillo" liqueur, as well as for lemons used to prepare the celebrated "Limoncello" liqueur, lemon chocolate, lemon pasta and parfums. The entire sorrentine coast is also famed for its dairy products among which there is the famous cow's milk cheese known as caciocavallo sorrentino and mozzarella cheese.
After a brief tour of the town centre, which includes the Cathedral, the church and cloister dedicated to Saint Francesco, the public garden and Tasso square, you will enjoy a visit to one of the farms which are up on the hills around the town of Sorrento to taste some genuine and delicious food and drinks.
