The Cilento coast which starts close to the ancient town of Paestum, has got spectacular sceneries, from the vertiginous sheer cliffs which drop into the dark blue see, to the plain and hills dotted with little medieval villages.
We will start the tour by visiting the famous ruins of the town of ancient Paestum and we will continue along the coast, stopping at the village of Agropoli, domintated by its medieval castle. The coast road takes us to the small village of Acciaroli, where Hemingway was inspired to write "The old man and the see" novel.
Not too far away we will meet Velia with its archaeological remains and then Palinuro, well known for its marvellous beaches.
